Gainful Employment
Chattanooga College is required to meet Gainful Employment guidelines. The guidelines encompasses regulatory compliance, institutional accountability, student protection, and policy debates in higher education. Institutions focus on debt-to-earnings ratios and employment rates to ensure programs provide economic benefits to graduates for successful careers and financial stability.
Programs Leading to License
Practical Nursing program comes under the state of Tennessee Board of Nursing which subscribes to the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators, and provides states that the school’s educational requirements are met or not.
Medical Assisting students may voluntarily set for the certification exam; however, it is not required but recommended. For additional assistance on this program request to speak with the department head or visit National Center for Competency Testing.

Direct Notification
In the event that Chattanooga College’s program curriculum does not meet educational requirements for a professional licensure or certification in the state which the student is located, or has not made such a determination, the student will be notified by either email or letter prior to enrolling in the program.
Transfer of Credit Disclosure Requirements
The college may afford transfer of credit from accredited institutions, life experience or military service (page 4 of the Chattanooga College Catalog).
Additional Disclosure Requirements
Students attest to the receipt of our transfer of credit policies (page 4 of the catalog) and placement results. There are no pending legal or regulatory actions that could adversely impact the college continuing operations. The college provides all training via the institution. The college also operates a Satellite Campus by the same name (inside page of catalog). The school also provides a set tuition and additional costs for students that have not interrupted their attendance at the college.
Like many institutions, transferring credits to and from Chattanooga College, MDTC can be complex for several reasons. Chattanooga College tailors its coursework to uphold the integrity and standards of its degrees and credentials and aims to maintain these standards when evaluating transfer credits. Additionally, the college strives to provide a comprehensive evaluation for students seeking credit transfers, aligning them with their educational aspirations at Chattanooga College. Students contemplating transferring to other colleges and universities should consult with the registrar at those institutions regarding courses completed at Chattanooga College, MDTC.
Health and Safety Disclosures
The college does not provide student housing; both campuses are inspected by the local fire department each year. The school follows Tennessee state policy for any vaccination requirements, additionally programs with clinical classes out of our buildings require up to date vaccinations and flu shots.
Administrative Policy Disclosure Requirements
The school’s refund policy is published on pages 28, 29 of the catalog. Additionally, the refund is stated on each student’s enrollment agreement. Student complaint and grievance procedures are provided on page 17 and 18 of the catalog. The college under the direction of our accrediting commission has provided teach out plans for Criminal Justice and Networking due to lack of enrollment.
